Originally form Long Island NY, Capt. Beck worked as a flight attendant for TWA where his father was a Chief A & P (Airframe and Powerplant) Mechanic. He began his career as a flight instructor and then became an airline pilot.
His mother, a part time writer, inspired his interest in other countries and cultures and contributed to his love of travel. Capt.
